Goodfellow AFB - Lease of 84-Person Temporary Modular Dorms

MCI designed, installed, and is leasing a furnished 84-person temporary dorm campus totaling 10,640 SF at Goodfellow Air Force Base.

MCI provided the site preparation to include any necessary utilities and connections. Additionally, MCI is providing the maintenance/repair of the temporary units throughout the lease.

The campus is adjoined by decking to the existing 300 person temporary dorm project, and includes 9 (14x76) dorm buildings. Each building has 5 rooms that are approximately 150 SF and accommodates 2 persons per room. Each room is equipped with 2 twin beds, built-in furniture, television, microwave, mini-fridge, and a bathroom per unit.

Additionally, the dorm campus includes a 14x76 building with one 273 SF office and ADA bathroom; and one 553 SF temporary laundry unit that includes the necessary laundry appliances with one utility sink and two water heaters.

All washer/dryer appliances were provided by MCI including plumbing, electrical service, and vent exhaust for 11 commercial washers and 14 commercial dryers.

The work included all civil, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing requirements to prepare and ready the site for the temporary units.
